"I create entryways. By manifesting the very gateways that lead to my own creative enterprise I invent a space for the viewer to conceive of their own possibilities, to integrate what is in the now and what can be in an alternative space or state of mind. Much of my work has been influenced by my many transitions; transitions between careers, into marriage and motherhood, into living abroad and moving repeatedly. By creating a safe passage through these “portals” I am able to transition towards these destinations with my artist-self intact; I can repeatedly arrive at my center. For you, the viewer, I intend for the work to be immersive. By creating patterns of color, movement and shifting perspectives, I wish to bring you first in and then through. From where you land, you decide where to go."
